In the heart of the Airial, a magnificent Landaise, signed by Gourgue, of 1801 and its henhouse, throne magnificently and watch over the Bergerie, another magnificent Landaise, and a sumptuous Bazadaise mansion at the entrance of the property.

The Gironde
The department of Gironde owes its name to the estuary that originates after the confluence of the Dordogne and Garonne rivers at the Bec d'Ambès, downstream from Bordeaux. From 1793 to 1795 it was called the department of Bec-d'Ambès.
Gironde is the largest department in metropolitan France (9,975.6 km² ) and the second largest after Guyana (83,846 km²).
The Gironde is composed of three distinct entities, with their own historical heritage:
- Bordeaux and the surrounding area;
- Part of the Landes de Gascogne (Médoc, Pays de Buch, Landes de Bordeaux, Bazadais and Haute-Lande-Girondine);
- Guyenne girondine (Libournais, Entre-deux-Mers, etc.).
The Gironde is part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It borders the departments of Landes, Lot-et-Garonne, Dordogne and Charente-Maritime.

The Bazadais
In the south-east of the department, on land slightly higher than the Landes plateau, is the Bazadais region. Between the Garonne and Ciron valleys, this area is bordered by the Landes forest to the southwest, but is clearly distinct from this landscape.
Although very forested, the Bazadais is covered with numerous cultivated clearings, located on gently rolling hills, and the maritime pine gives way to the oak. Prairies and cereal crops dominate, associated with a few orchards and rare vineyards. To the north, a wide flat terrace cultivated in open fields overlooks the river.
Crops, hills and woodlands of deciduous trees and pines are mixed together to form a varied landscape.
An exceptional landscape near the Landes forest, clearly different from its imposing neighbor, the Bazadais itself has two very distinct configurations.
Indeed, slightly overhanging the Garonne on the left bank, the terrace of the Bazadais presents a very horizontal relief, covered with crops on vast surfaces; backwards, the hills of the Bazadais itself offer more undulations and welcome more afforestation.

The commune of Marions
The commune of Marions (1,630 hectares) lies deep in the Great Heath, in the direction of Lerm-et-Musset. Its name has given rise to contradictory etymological explanations. Irrigated by the streams of Barthos and Chantemerle, tributaries of the Ciron, and by their tributaries, it presents a scattered habitat, with numerous isolated farms and places: Chibauchey.
Gavachey, Narcam, Les Monges, Charlatan, Ponchet, le Jougla... The edges of the streams, low and clayey, are sometimes occupied by poplar groves. From Grignols, the village can be reached by the D 655 e2 road, which winds its way through the meadows and cornfields.
The agricultural vocation of the commune is diversified: cereal and asparagus cultivation, forage production, breeding of calves under the mother's milk, capons and fattened ducks, forestry exploitation for timber and heating.
